Itsu Prawn Crackers Mild Wasabi review

Wasabi is a flavour I am only just coming around to liking so I was slightly nervous about trying these new wasabi flavoured prawn crackers. These come from the Itsu brand who specialise in nutritious foods and their tag line is "Eat beautiful". There is a very detailed description of how these are made which includes mixing and then rolling out prawns, flour and water then sliced and dried. The crackers are then flash fried before adding seasoning. It is nice to know how these are made however the important thing is how they taste.

I opened the packet to see plenty of light prawn crackers with a slight green tinge. The crackers were light and crunchy and I was impressed with the amount of crackers in the bag, especially for just 95 calories. These had a distinctive wasabi flavour with a good amount of heat without being overly strong. This means that they are able to maintain a tasty, buttery flavour without burning your mouth off!

I love prawn crackers as a snack and these individual bags from Itsu have definitely converted me to being a wasabi fan. These are a slightly more unusual snack but I really did enjoy them. The heat from the wasabi built up the more crackers I ate but still didn't become too pungent. I would highly recommend these prawn crackers to any wasabi fans and I will be looking out for anymore unique products From the Itsu brand after trying these.
