Asda Maple Syrup and Waffle Cheesecake review
I picked up this individual cheesecake from Asda and it is described as layered vanilla and toffee cheesecakes with a digestive base with a waffle and maple syrup sauce on top. The base was very thin and quite soft with almost a cakey texture rather than a crumbly digestive one. I couldn't detect layers in the cheesecake flavours but none the less, it was sweet with a subtle toffee flavour. The waffle on top was also quite soft and didn't add much in terms of flavour but there was an added texture which was enjoyable. The sauce on top was thick and had a tasty maple flavour. Overall this was a dessert that I did enjoy. It wasn't as luxurious as a higher quality cheesecake such as GU but was sweet and tasty and a dessert that maple and toffee lovers are sure to enjoy.
