Special K Super Porridge 5 grains (Almond, Pecan & Sunflower Seeds) review

I do love my porridge in the morning and porridge pots just make life so much easier when I'm in a rush or need a breakfast that I can grab on the go. This Special K super porridge is a relatively new product that contains vitamins, minerals and 5 grains. I tried the version that contains almond, pecan and sunflower seeds.

As these pots only require boiling water I popped the kettle on, filled the porridge pot to the dotted line and gave it a good stir. I waited a few minutes then took off the lid. I could see that it contained plenty of nuts and seeds and it looked quite thick and creamy.

I took a bite and could certainly taste the nutty element of this porridge. There was quite a bit of chewing for this due to all of the seeds and because the oats were rather large. It wasn't very sweet but I didn't mind this as the flavour of the nuts and the creaminess was enough to satisfy me. I was pretty impressed with these porridge pots from special k and would happily buy this again. I am very tempted to try the other varieties from the super porridge range as this was a tasty, filling and nutritious breakfast.
