When it was put in front of me I was pretty impressed. It had a thick layer of cheese that I couldn't wait to bite into. I cut through it and the béchamel sauce oozed out. This was rich and creamy and delicious especially against the ham. There wasn't a lot of meat in this sandwich but the flavours from the cheese and the large amount of béchamel made up for this completely in my opinion.

Costa Limited Edition Ham & Cheese Toastie review
As far as I am aware Costa have always had ham & cheese toasties and so I was slightly confused when I saw that they had a limited edition version. It is probably the most basic flavour and one that I rarely choose but upon closer inspection I saw that it had an extra layer of cheese on top as well as béchamel sauce in the middle.
When it was put in front of me I was pretty impressed. It had a thick layer of cheese that I couldn't wait to bite into. I cut through it and the béchamel sauce oozed out. This was rich and creamy and delicious especially against the ham. There wasn't a lot of meat in this sandwich but the flavours from the cheese and the large amount of béchamel made up for this completely in my opinion.
This is probably the nicest ham and cheese toastie that I have ever had and it tasted incredibly luxurious. I don't think that I have ever had béchamel sauce in this type of sandwich but it is such a brilliant idea. There was nothing boring about this toastie which is what I was worried about and I cant wait to have this again. I think it would be great if this replaced the ordinary ham & cheese toastie as I think that this would be a much more popular version and even if this isn't something that you would usually go for, it's certainly worth a try.
