Having recently ben impressed with Slim Fast Noodle boxes I decided to try this vegetable curry version from Zero Noodles. These came in a pot and required boiling water with the addition of two packets of flavourings contained in the pot. The whole pot is only 77 calories so I figured they were worth a try.
The consistency was very watery and the noodles didn't absorb the water as well as say a pot noodle but there was a strong curry flavour which carried through into the flavour. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong the curry taste was. At the bottom of the pot however the curry powder hadn't dissolved properly and I was left with a curry flavoured water which was very gritty from the powder but this was the only downside.
Overall for 77 calories these weren't half bad but the Slim fast microwavable noodle pots were of a much better quality in my opinion. I cant say that I would rush out to have these again purely because I was put off by the gritty texture at the bottom of the pot and how watery they were but they would do for a quick lunch if I was really hungry in future .
