There were clearly plenty of chunks of raspberry throughout both slices and a fait covering of crushed pistachios. The description of these cheesecakes described an orange blossom glaze. I wasn't sure what to make of this but it was probably my favourite part of these cheesecakes which were delicious! The glaze didn't have a lot of flavour but sat on top of the slices like a jelly adding an extra layer of texture as well as a slight more sweetness.
The raspberry pieces were quite small which I didn't mind as this meant that I didn't notice any seeds but as there were so many the slightly sharp raspberry flavour was still noticeable and worked really nicely against the sweet orange blossom glaze. The pistachios also added to the texture with a slight crunch and their flavour complimented the creamy vanilla cheesecake filling which tasted quite high quality. The base was lovely and thick but not so much that it was more noticeable than the filing. It also broke perfectly without being dry and crumbly. These were some of the best quality supermarket cheesecakes that I have bought in a while and I can certainly see why they are a part of Tesco's "finest" range.
