I picked up these kettle baked crisps a while a go, the same time as the sweet chilli version that I have previously reviewed. However having been disappointed in the sweet chilli version which I found incredibly bland I have put off trying these until now when the crisp cupboard was looking pretty bare.
I opened the bag and similarly to the other variety these crisps were very thin and light unlike most baked crisps which are generally quite crunchy. They had flecks of chive throughout but not much of a smell which made me think that these weren't going to pack much of a punch in terms of taste.
Luckily these did have more flavour than the sweet chilli variety and I quite enjoyed them. I can't say that I would go out of my way to buy these again because there still wasn't much of an impact in terms of sour cream & chive but it was much more noticeable than with the sweet chilli crisps. I am disappointed that there is such a lack of flavour with such a well established brand but I did definitely prefer this version to the sweet chilli and I admit that I would eat these again if they were put in front of me.
